This salmon colored iris caught my eye several days before I could take pictures. Not quite at peak when I photographed it.
The pipevine in the front yard is producing hundreds of flowers this year. This one is right by our front door.
A side view of another pipevine flower with an azelea flower for company.
Still damp from yesterday's rain, another azelea flower glowed in the shade.
The pink color of this azelea in the sun really caught my eye. A messy picture but the color is the point.
I was taking a picture of flowers on our rosemary bush when a honeybee flew into the frame. I was glad to capture the stamens and pistil touching the bees back. Nice to see the pollination mechanism in action.
