This striking gazania pulled me up short. Hard to resist such vivid color and shape.
Then I saw a copper colored gazvania a bit farther along.
These red color of these roses had an liquid quality.
This flower had lots going for it: subtle color, interesting ight and shadow. pleasing shapes and a pretty background. Hard to beat.
How about this one? Perhaps even better.
This one is my favorite, though. I like the smooth bokeh in the background and the transition from strong light in the upper left to dark gray in the lower right.
This strange plant was several feet taller than I am.
Hundreds of small flowers at the end of green leaf-covered branches.
In this closeup, you can see the flowers clearly. Withered flowers added a blue-purple accent to the pink and green.
I liked the pink and green at the top against the vegetation and sky of the background.
One yard had several columbines. You can see the developing seed pods to the left of the flower.
I don't know what this is but it was very nice.
Hard to get a sharp picture of this flower as the wind blew it around. The contrast of white petals and purple in the center kept me trying.
